FEAST OF THE TABERNACLES (SUKKOT) 2025 DAMASCUS, AR

Great Awakening International, in partnership with the family of Great Awakening Assemblies, will celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles from September 30 to October 9, 2025. Attendees may choose to participate in the full 8-day experience, a 4-day portion, or join for a single-day commuter option.

We honor the Feast by refraining from all servile work on the 1st and 8th days, which are set apart as Holy Convocations, days of worship, fellowship, and celebration. This year, our family of assemblies will gather for the full 8-day celebration at the scenic Camp Rockefeller. This vast facility is nestled in the heart of the 3,200-acre Gus  Blass Scout Reservation near Damascus, AR, blending the rugged beauty of the Ozark wilderness with thoughtfully developed facilities, perfect for outdoor adventure, spiritual reflection, and communal celebration.

In Hebrew, the word for a temporary shelter is sukkah (plural: sukkot, pronounced “sue-COTE”). During this sacred time, we dwell in these sukkots with our families, reflecting on the fleeting nature of life and the enduring hope of reaching the Promised Land.

Join us for a time of worship, community, and spiritual renewal under the open skies.

Shemini Atzeret Formal Fellowship

Presented by The Great Awakening International | Sukkot 2025

The Great Awakening International warmly invites you to join us for the Shemini Atzeret Formal Fellowship, a sacred and celebratory gathering taking place during Sukkot 2025. This memorable event will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:30 PM at Camp Rockefeller in Damascus, AR.

This meaningful occasion commemorates the biblically ordained Eighth Day Assembly, Shemini Atzeret, a time set apart for reflection, thanksgiving, and unity among the people of YAHUAH.

Observed directly after the seven days of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret stands as a solemn yet joyful conclusion to the Feast of Tabernacles. It is a time to gather, give thanks for the harvest, and honor the Creator’s continued provision.

Attendees are encouraged to wear formal Anakara Hebrew attire in reverence of this significant holy day.

The evening will include a formal dinner, praise and worship led by the GAI Worship Team, and an inspiring performance by the Sound of Yashar’el Choir. After the main celebration, the Mishpacha (family) is invited to enjoy fellowship and connection around the campfire.

To learn more and stay updated, visit www.greathebrewawakening.org.

We look forward to celebrating this powerful time of assembly and rejoicing with you!

SUKKOT (Temporary Dwellings)

 DEUTERONOMY 16:13-17

13 “You shall keep the Feast of Sukkot seven days, when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your winepress.14 You shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your towns. 15 For seven days you shall keep the feast to YHUH your Elohim at the place that YAHUAH will choose, because  YAHUAH your Elohim will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.

16 “Three times a year all your males shall appear before YAHUAH your Elohim at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Matzot, at the Feast of Shavuot, and at the Feast of Sukkot. They shall not appear before YAHUAH empty-handed. 17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of YAHUAH your Elohim that he has given you.

Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) is a unique appointed time that actually encompasses two distinct yet connected holy days: the seven-day festival of Sukkot, followed by the sacred assembly of Shemini Atzeret, which includes the joyous celebration of Simchat Torah. It begins just five days after Yom Kippur and contains more unique mitzvot (commandments) than any other feast.

Prophetically, Sukkot points forward to the millennial reign of Yahusha, while also reflecting back on the Israelites' journey through the wilderness after the Exodus. Many also believe it marks the true season of Messiah’s birth. As we gather to honor Yahuah and our King as a royal priesthood (Exodus 19:6, 1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:6), we aim to reflect the reality of Heaven on Earth, bringing our best offerings and serving one another through the diverse gifts YAH has placed within us. This is the organic body of Messiah, the Ecclesia, fully alive in purpose and power.

We recognize that among believers, there may be differences in calendar interpretations or feast date calculations. Nevertheless, we warmly invite you to join us in the spirit of unity. We strive to walk in the unity of the Ruach (Spirit) and the bond of peace, loving one another, honoring each person's unique walk with YAHUAH. Even in areas where our understanding may differ, we remain committed to humility, as Scripture teaches: “in humility, consider others better than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3). We are all growing, learning, and being refined together.

For the second year in a row, the Feast Day Committee is thrilled to present a fun and interactive way to celebrate Sukkot 2025! This year, we're inviting families and close friends to join us for a friendly exhibition and competition, highlighting the most creative and inspiring sukkah designs.

Participants are encouraged to create original sukkahs using sustainable and readily accessible materials and construction methods. Each entry must include a brief explanation of the building process as well as the biblical narrative that inspired the design.

Winning entries will be chosen by the Guardians of the Great Awakening, with prizes awarded to the top designs. Join us for this unique opportunity to combine craftsmanship, creativity, and biblical reflection! Let your imagination shine as we dwell, build, and celebrate together!
