Great Awakening International’s Official Feast Days Calendrical Statement
Great Awakening International’s Official Feast Days Calendrical Statement
The Great Awakening International and its affiliated assemblies stand in agreement in their desire to be a unified Nation in the truth of YAHUAH יהוה to the best of our current level of understanding. Great Awakening International has arrived at its current stance regarding a "Fixed Calendar" / Moediym dates by way of prayer and rigorous study. Great Awakening International is also of the understanding that we have been commanded to observe and keep the Feast of YAHUAH יהוה as a shadow of the glory to come. As we are awakening to the ways of our Creator we must realize the existential facts associated with our true identity as it relates to the feast of YAHUAH יהוה.
1. We are not in our land, but in the land of our captivity.
And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. YECHEZQ'EL (EZEKIEL) 36:19 את CEPHER
2. We do not have a Tabernacle or temple, which were the places where יהוה chose to place his name.
You shall therefore sacrifice the Pecach unto Yahuah Elohayka, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Yahuah shall choose to place his name there. DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 16:2 את CEPHER
3. We do not have the Priests/Levites assigned to perform the services (sacrifice/offering) associated with the feast.
But you shall appoint the Leviyiym over the Tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the Tabernacle and all the vessels thereof, and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the Tabernacle. BEMIDBAR (NUMBERS) 1:50 את CEPHER
4. Times/dates have been changed and mechanisms/techniques in identifying times/dates have been perverted.
And he shall speak great words against El Elyon, and shall wear out the qodeshiym of El Elyon, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a period of time and times and the dividing of time. DANIY'EL (DANIEL) 7:25 את CEPHER
Thus, the ceremonial observances kept in this current dispensation are better understood as "preparational rehearsal" for the millennial Kingdom. Though the times and dates are of importance, the calendrical system that one’s conviction leads them to follow should not be used to condemn as salvific/ soteriological (leading to salvation) matter. According to the Torah, we are given examples of our forefathers having been unable to observe/ present their Pesach offering for matters outside of their own control and the Merciful One in his benevolence bestowed His grace and allowed them to observe at a later date.
"And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying, Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Pecach unto Yahuah. The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with matstsah and bitter herbs." BEMIDBAR (NUMBERS) 9:9-11 את CEPHER
It is our prayer that the Creator of the Universe shall extend to all those in the awakening the same mercy and grace regarding this issue of times and dates, and judge us according to the posture of our heart and the ruach in which we attempt to keep His commandments.
Historically, Great Awakening International's calendrical analysis had given rise to the adherence to a Lunisolar calendar. Our current research and analysis are more aligned with a Fixed Calendar which presents more consistent with Torah.
As we continue to learn and reach higher levels of enlightenment in our understanding of the culture of YAHUAH יהוה it is the obligation of the wise man to make changes according to the current information and ability to understand that said information.
Great Awakening International will in no way condemn Mishpacha still adhering to the Lunisolar calendar. Nor will we condemn those with opposing views toward a "Fixed Calendar" on the contrary the difference in view and or perspective is welcome and is valued as a catalyst to challenge the greater Mishpacha to continue in the pursuit of truth regarding all matters.
In conclusion, based upon unbiased Torah-centered objective research, Great Awakening International will move forwarding observing the Moediym (appointed feast days) according to a "Fixed Calendar".
